Biography

After 20 years teaching across K-12, TAFE and tertiary sectors in South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia, Pru moved into a national education support role, working for eight years as part of the Education Network Australia (edna) team. Her current role is with Schools Catalogue Information Service (SCIS) which is a part of the newly formed not for profit Education Services Australia (formerly Education.au and Curriculum Corporation) where she is the Subscriber Support Coordinator.

Throughout her career Pru has been involved in developing and presenting professional learning for educators and is a teacher librarian with a long history working with online technologies in schools. She has undertaken national research projects in professional standards, professional learning, e-learning and e-assessment.

In 2011, Pru was awarded the ASLA (Australian School Library Association) Citation for her outstanding service and leadership to the profession. In particular, her contribution to policy formulation, publication, administration and education was recognised by ASLA.
