National Week 2012

National Simultaneous Story Time: 11am Wednesday 22nd May

Tuesday, May 14, 2013

National Simultaneous Storytime is an annual campaign that aims to encourage more young Australians to enjoy reading. A popular part of Library and Information Week NSS is a colourful, vibrant event that provides an excellent platform to promote the value of reading and literacy and provides a fun opportunity to engage with the wider community.

This year the chosen story is The Wrong Book by Australian author and illustrator Nick Bland. The Wrong Book will be read simultaneously at 11am on Wednesday 22nd of May in libraries, schools, hospitals, homes, childcare centres, bookshops and many other locations across the country.

Register your event online through the Australian Library and Information Association website, here you will find a variety of resources to help you get organised. Take a look, be inspired and tell us what you are doing in your library to celebrate National Simultaneous Storytime.

Happy Reading!
