New partnership with SLANSW as Syba Academy expands its reach

The Syba team is excited to announce the new professional learning partnership planned for 2015 between the School Library Association of NSW (SLANSW) and our own Syba Academy. SLANSW is the peak professional association supporting school libraries and teacher librarians in the state of New South Wales. Throughout 2014, SLANSW members have already received generous support from the association to attend Syba Academy seminars and workshops on; guided inquiry and the Australian Curriculum, digital curation, new literacies for networked learners and makers, and cultural weeding – all at a discounted rate.

Syba Academy has been a NSWIT/AITSL accredited provider of professional development since 2013 and gained ACT TQI endorsement for its coursework in early 2014. This means that teachers and teacher librarians working in NSW and ACT schools who complete Syba Academy seminars, workshops and courses, receive endorsed credit for professional learning hours completed with us.

This year our reach has extended beyond the capital cities of Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane, to regional NSW locations such as Grafton, Dubbo, and Newcastle. We look forward to expanding our regional footprint in 2015.

The theme for our professional learning partnership with SLANSW in 2015 is “Let’s Make It Happen!” Visit www.sybaacademy.com.au for details.
