Product Highlights

Wall Graphics

This term we have six new wall graphic designs. The wall graphics are a fantastic product, principally they are incredibly easy to apply and have a dramatic impact in any space. We have the My Digital Footprint wall graphic on display in our office and it really brightens up the space. Check out our full range of wall graphics online or visit our YouTube channel for an instructional video showing just how easy the application process is.

Children's Book Week

It is hard to believe that Children's Book Week is once again upon us. This year we have expanded our range to include products that embrace the theme “Read Across the Universe”. We also have a number of products that can be reused annually. Check out our full range of Book Week products for some great display ideas. We would love to hear about your Book Week displays and events, feel free to share them with us on Facebook or Twitter. We will then be able to share these great ideas with other schools – you might even get some inspiration for next year!

Seminar Recap

We have been very thrilled by the response to our recent series of seminars including our two accredited programs. School Libraries Making a Difference: What is your evidence, and how do you get it? was held in Adelaide, Perth and Melbourne. It was our first seminar in Melbourne and we were warmly welcomed by the participants and assisted throughout the day by representatives of ALIA our supporting partners. The second accredited course, The National Curriculum: Developing a Guided Inquiry & Web 2.0 approach held in Sydney was written and presented by Dr Ross Todd and Lyn Hay. It was an outstanding success with approximately two hundred participants all of whom responded with great enthusiasm. The response was so positive that we plan to rerun this program in the other states early next year. Inspirational, energising, practical, relevant and valuable were words used by many participants as they reflected on the day.

Upcoming Seminar: Resourcing for the Australian Curriculum: Building Digital Collections

This all new one day seminar is brought to you in partnership with SCIS and presented by Lyn Hay and Pru Mitchell. We are extremely excited about the potential for this day which is based on the notion that ”Knowing the ins and outs of developing and maintaining e-books as part of a school collection is one of the major challenges in 2013 for schools in effectively resourcing the curriculum” (Feighan, 2012) and specifically the new Australian curriculum.

The seminar will be held on Monday 9th September in Sydney and we urge you to register now to secure a place.
